This is the new
e-prescription!

 

With the new e-prescription, the old familiar pink form that you used to get printed out by your doctor,
will become obsolete. From January 1, 2022, the e-prescription will only be created and signed digitally.

You will receive your personal access key/code either directly in your e-prescription app or as a printout. You can redeem the e-prescription as usual in person at your pharmacy, via our pharmacy website, or within the e-prescription app.

Intro

This is how the e-prescription works:

Your doctor creates the
e-prescription

After the examination in the doctor’s office, the doctor will issue you an electronic prescription for the prescribed medication and digitally sign it in a forgery-proof manner.

You will receive your
e-prescription

A personal prescription code with the key to your prescription is automatically created for each e-prescription, which you need to redeem at our pharmacy. You decide whether you want to receive the prescription code as a paper printout or in your e-prescription app. The prerequisite for using the e-prescription app is the new health card of your health insurance companies and the associated pin.

Redeem the e-prescription directly on site...

As before, come to our pharmacy with the paper printout or your digital prescription code and show it to us. You will then receive your prescribed medication as usual.

...reserve it through our pharmacy website....

Photograph the prescription code on your printout and send it to us digitally. Use it to reserve your prescribed medication for self-collection, delivery by mail or courier service.

...or redeem your e-prescription digitally.

If you have received your e-prescription fully digitally in the Gematik e-prescription app on request, you can send it to us. The medication is now reserved for you. You can now pick it up yourself or have it delivered.

    Do you have the right card?

    You will need an NFC-enabled health card with the corresponding PIN to log in to the e-prescription app. Please check the six-digit number at the top right of the card to see if your card supports this technology.

    New health cards

    The health insurance companies have already started issuing the new health cards – this is free of charge. Please contact them if you have not yet received your new card.
    Currently, the new e-prescription applies exclusively to people with statutory health insurance. The German government’s goal is to also give privately insured persons access to the e-prescription by January 1, 2022.

    Receive PIN

    Please contact your health insurance company to obtain the PIN to your health card. For this, you must go through a secure identification procedure.

    Upload e-prescription

    Download the gematik e-prescription app called “Das E-Rezept” free of charge to your smartphone and authenticate yourself. From now on, you can use the app for the e-prescription.
